Alexis Sanchez in last-gasp attempt to prove Man Utd worth after flying to Spain for specialist treatment on knee injury
ALEXIS SANCHEZ is determined to get back fit and show Manchester United fans his best form in the run in to the end of the season.
That is the view of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who, like Jose Mourinho before him, has struggled to get the best out of the Chilean frontman.
Sanchez injured his knee ligaments in the game against Southampton and has been in Barcelona seeing his own medical team.
Solskjaer said: “He's coming back on Sunday, he's not been on grass yet, he's been seeing his people in Barcelona.
“He's still a few weeks away so if we get to round about the Everton, City and Chelsea games he'll probably be available.
“Alexis is such a determined lad, he loves football and is doing everything he can to get back and show his best side.”
Of more immediate concern is a problem with inform striker Romelu Lukaku who has a sore foot.
But Solskjaer is hopeful the Belgian will be OK and there could also be a return for Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones.
