MANCHESTER CITY are set to announce the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland THIS WEEK after the German side allowed him to take care of "personal matters" on Monday.

And now Belgian outlet DH sensationally repot that Haaland has already met with City doctors in Brussels to and COMPLETED a medical ahead of the move.

Haaland, 21, has scored an impressive 85 goals in 88 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, making him one of the most highly sought-after talents in world football.

Dortmund told Sport1: "The players have no training today and we allowed Erling to take care of personal matters."

According to The Athletic, the Premier League champions have won the race for his signature.

Man City are set to inform Dortmund of their 'intention to activate' Haaland's £64million release clause.

The report states that personal terms between the player and club were agreed last month, when he gave his approval to the switch.

Haaland will pick up an eye-watering £500,000-a-week on a five-year deal.

A move to City would see Haaland follow in the footsteps of dad Alf Inge.

The former Norwegian international played 38 times for City in a three-year stay and the Erling grew up a fan of the club and has been pictured in their shirt.

Haaland Jr was linked with a move to Dortmund's rivals Bayern Munich, with star man Robert Lewandowski's future uncertain.

But Bayern director Hasan Salihamidzic ruled out a move for the striker.

Speaking to Sport1, he said: "We won’t be Erling Haaland’s next club, that’s for sure."

The Erasmus Hospital in the suburbs of Brussels is thought to be where the medical took place.

Brussels was apparently chosen because of 'geographical convenience' and in an attempt to not draw attention.

Despite Haaland's pending arrival at the Etihad, forward Gabriel Jesus is NOT expected to leave - despite being linked with Arsenal.

The Brazilian is tied down until the summer of 2023 and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on a reunion with Jesus, who he worked with during his time at City.

But according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Jesus is unlikely to leave with Pep Guardiola reluctant to offload the 2019 Copa America winner.
